Jump 41 - Black Bullet

  • Cursed Child [Free]: Children born with the Gastrea virus, always female, who possess incredible powers and abilities as the result of the infection. Recruited to serve as mankind’s final defense against Gastrea infiltration and incursion, they are dubbed “Initiators”. Each placed in the care of a partner, a “Promoter” who must work alongside his Initiator to defend what little remains of the world, a thankless task, facing not only the knowledge that they risk their lives in the defense of man, but their very soul, for the Gastrea virus that infects them also slowly consumes them, until they are man no more, but monster.
  • Initiator [Free]: You don’t understand why they hate you for something that wasn’t your fault. You don’t know why they call you a monster. You can’t understand why you never knew your parents, why you were abandoned. You understand that without focus, without maintaining control of your emotions, your eyes are red. Reviled. You see the way out… you will fight. But not alone.
  • Roach [Free for Initiator]: your flesh is harder than most and your wounds regenerate at a speed that allows you to recover from all but the worst injuries in minutes.  While you can take a considerable number of bullets or some seriously heavy blows, you have a vulnerability to Varanium and weapons constructed from it bypass this perk.
  • Rabbit [Free for Initiator]: You’re incredibly agile and strong. Your kicks pack a punch and your punches have quite the kick… you’re strong enough to easily use an anti-materiel rifle, but your kicks are powerful enough to render it unnecessary.  Not only can you jump incredibly high, you can also double jump.  Don’t think too hard about it.  May or may not increase fertility.
  • Owl [150]: Your vision is improved to ridiculous levels and you gain the ability to see in the dark.  The incredible detail allows you to bypass all but the best illusions and camouflage.  You’re also extremely effective with any kind of ranged weapon, be it a simple bow and arrow or a railgun… when you take aim, people start taking cover or they start dying.
  • Dolphin [150]: You have improved intelligence and you’ve got echolocation, allowing you effective blindsight and the ability to ‘see’ through walls.”
  • Spider [300]: You gain the ability to naturally stick to surfaces, as well as the power to generate a sticky webbing from your fingers at will.  While useful for swinging, it’s even more useful when you consider that the webs are effectively monofilament wires.  Finally, you feel a kind of tingling whenever you or someone you care about is in danger.
  • Mantis [300]: Your ability with any kind of blade is nigh precognitive… expect to easily be able to deflect firearms and defeat CQC experts in close combat while you’ve got a blade or two in your hands.  Parrying is reflexive for you, and you’ve managed to deflect attacks even you didn’t see coming.
  • Varanium Weapon Upgrade [100]: Provides you and your companion with a supply of Varanium based weaponry. Think swords made of the stuff and varanium bullets (guns are provided). One weapon for yourself and one for each companion is provided. You can upgrade your existing weapons with a Varanium Alloy.
  • Cybernetic Upgrade – Welles [Mandatory]: An explosive installed within your cranium allowing your superiors easier control and neutralization of assets, and allows for simple disposal once asset exceeds use by date.
  • Companion: Initiators gain a free Promoter companion, a regular human with superior analytical and combat skills and a mind of steel, but merely a fleshy human. They gain 1000 CP to spend as you see fit on powers and items, gaining discounts and free powers as normal for their type.
    • Vord Queen: Regina “Reggy” Vord, Female Human, Age 16
      • Promoter [Free]: A member of a Civil Security agency, you still remember the war. The voices in your mind cried out for vengeance. With your family gone, murdered by the Gastrea before your very eyes, you’ve been determined to never be so powerless again… and now you have power, in the form of an Initiator companion. What you do with that power is up to you.
      • Let’s Get Tactical [Free for Promoter]: The uncanny ability to analyze the battlefield even while in the worst situations, and an instinctive knack for determining the best approach to any given fight, isolating any opponent’s vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
      • Flight of the Coward [Free for Promoter]: You learned ten years ago that sometimes not every fight can be won and you’ve taken that lesson to heart. You possess considerable talent at disengaging from encounters and bringing your allies with you.  Sometimes retreat isn’t an option, but as long as it is one, this ability will help you stay alive.
      • Roach [100]: Your flesh is harder than most and your wounds regenerate at a speed that allows you to recover from all but the worst injuries in minutes.  While you can take a considerable number of bullets or some seriously heavy blows, you have a vulnerability to Varanium and weapons constructed from it bypass this perk.
      • Combat Techniques [150]: At some point, you’ve picked up the ability perform blatantly reality warping stunts such as splitting a steel bar in half with a butterknife. Unfortunately, you need to loudly recite a long declaration of intent and concentrate before you do so… the more powerful the effect, the longer it takes.
      • Bonds That Bind [150]: You find combat much easier when fighting alongside close allies. You can instinctively determine your close allies next moves and better coordinate with them, and vice verse.  Your sheer synchronisation in the heat of battle has lead some to suspect you and your allies might be one mind among many bodies.
      • Finishing Blow [300]: In order to minimize risk and end a battle quickly, you’ve managed to perfect the ability to greatly magnify the power of any given attack in your arsenal, but only once per day at most.  Doing so is extremely draining, at best rendering you temporarily combat ineffective and at worst resulting in a multi-day coma.
      • Sharing is Caring [300]: You can now share one power that you possess with SJ. The shared power can be changed once at the start of every jump.
  • Ahab’s Auto-Import [X]: a female Coptic Promoter, Age 24,
    • Promoter: A member of a Civil Security agency, you still remember the war. The voices in your mind cried out for vengeance. • Joy’s Auto-Import [X]: a female Bedouin Cursed Child Initiator, Age 10

  • Scenario – They Will All Burn: With either you or your companion facing a countdown much shorter than your time here, it seems that time is not on your side. Fate, however, might just be. Two entities have elected to offer you their aid in writing history. Be wary, however, for their price is not measured in mere choices. Is your future your own? The second entity, a young blonde calling herself ‘Lucy’, offers to not only provide you with a guaranteed method of saving your companion and yourself, but to assist you in saving those you deem worthy.
    • If you take this option, however, then society will fall. The cities will inevitably be destroyed, their people massacred by the Gastrea, with few survivors. And it will all be your doing.
    • By siphoning the varanium from a monolith, you’ll be able to utilize it in a vaccine of sorts to prevent Cursed Children from ever turning, and furthermore it’ll dramatically increase their power…
    • Of course, since this will inevitably result in the destruction of all mankind, you’ll quickly become public enemy number one, but Lucy assures you that your success is near guaranteed… you will succeed, and to aid you in your task, public enemy number two and his partner will assist you. They will join you as companions following this jump.
    • Lastly, your win condition changes. You will not leave this world in ten years. You will leave when the last bastion of civilization crumbles, and those few who you deem worthy, the Cursed Children, will follow you to your next world, but no further.
    • Perhaps they’ll finally find the peace they deserve there, but this world holds nothing for them. Let it burn. Let it all burn.
    • Reward: Taking Lucy’s offer grants you increased proficiency in edged weapons and you’ll find that you look much better while wearing a trenchcoat.
  • “Accomplishments”
    • Destroyed Civilization
    • Rescued 12 Million Worthies
    • Unwittingly recruited a pair of psychopaths.

Jump 42 - MCU

  • Tech-Expert [100/900/1000]: You’re incredibly smart and capable of understanding the greater workings of the Universe. You pick up on information and science a lot faster than most. You’re a hopeless nerd without something to protect you. A lot of issues are born from scientists and smart folk wanting to achieve a goal. Expect suspicion. You’re a rather intelligent person, aren’t you? The science of this world is something you’ve been fond of, and it shows in your works and hobbies. In a world of superheroes and serums and technology, expect to be the one people look towards to even the playing field.
  • Professor of Asskicking [Free for Tech Expert]: To even get into the SHIELD Academy, you have to have one PhD under your belt. You’ve managed to secure three of them, being the overachiever you are. You may select a total of three fields in science or technology to gain knowledge of. Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, and Chaos Theory.
  • Soundtrack of the Galaxy [Free for All]: What’s a good good act of heroism or villainy without some kind of music to back you up? This will ensure that you have a fine selection of music that defines the moment, whatever it may be. Superb orchestra, rock music, even a hefty dash of songs from the 1980s if that’s what was called for. It even comes with a handheld cassette player that can work in deep space. Plan and act your day with style.
  • They Call Me “Star-Lord” [Free for All]: Using your real name can be so boring at times… or lacks the awe and intimidation you need. Fortunately, with this you can designate an codename or alias that people will know you by, and a great majority will associate that name with you. This doesn’t guarantee they’ll actually call me by it, but they will know it is a name that belongs to you.
  • Retro-Engineer [300/600/1000]: Your understanding of technology is so great that you’ve even learned the basics of tinkering with alien technologies. As long as you take the time to study something and experiment properly, you’ll eventually figure out a use for that tech you found. Whether it’s taking that weird glowing thing and powering your machines with it, or dismantling an alien robot and putting it into a gun, you’ll figure out a use for something as long as you put in the time. As a bonus, you’re skilled enough in research and experimentation that you’re far less likely to accidentally break what you’re studying on accident.
    • Since I’m Asgardian, this grants the basics of Asgardian Technology, with comprehension of their workings. In time, you could learn how to make technology on par with that of the best of the Asgardian Technical Elite.
  • Old Fashioned Asskicking [600/0/1000]: You can’t always be at the back of a fight, directing things. Sometimes you need to get in the field and show your troops that you’re willing to work alongside them. Groups you fight with will have their morale drastically improved, and their battle tactics improved just as much. Synergy, accuracy, reflexes, and coordination will all noticeably increase, and you could almost swear that they hit harder too. Guess they’re just happy you care for them.
    • As an Asgardian, this increases your charisma and intellect greatly, allowing you to lead armies and negotiate with hostile forces much more easily. In time, as this develops, you could become a wise and powerful monarch whose rule is almost never challenged.
  • Asgardian [400/-400/1000]: You are officially above and beyond what a human SHOULD be, for you are no human. You are an Asgardian, a powerful alien in your own right. As such, your strength is enough that you could bench press an APC, your speed would let you outrun a car at 80MPH, and your toughness enough to take an RPG and survive with minor bruising. This is on top the ability to heal wounds noticeably faster than the average human and immunity to any Earth disease. As a bonus, your appearance and physique have been improved to pleasing effect. May you enjoy your perfect, immaculate hair that could only belong to one as grand as you.
    • Your hair and body only gets dirty enough to make you ruggedly handsome/beautiful. It also works on body fur, fluffy tails, scales, or chitin.
  • Super Soldier [200/-600/1000]: Well well WELL, aren’t you a fine specimen? You’ve been bathed in Vita Radiation and have taken the eponymous Super Soldier Serum, and have found yourself enhanced as a result. You are at the very peak of both physical and mental human ability, even hitting the lower end of superhuman. Things like increased agility, speed, strength, mental calculation, memory, and more are all enhanced. This does not give you tactical knowledge or the courage to do things however, as this version does not impact your personality. You DO however, have the tools to achieve such things on your own now.
    • Your abilities increase to that of a peak Asgardian. You could potentially take an army by yourself, or even laugh in the face of a tank or two… to say nothing of mental comprehension.
  • Tactical Suit [Free for All]: A standard bodysuit made of a polymer blend with ten layers of treated composite materials, allowing for state of the art protection. Default appearance of a SHIELD logo and emblem, but you may choose a different style upon acquiring this.
  • Holotable [Free for Tech Expert]: A device in the shape of a table used to create holographic models that allow the study, analysis, and reconstruction of a vast array of items, weapons, and events. Comes in any color of holograms you like and each hologram is capable of being interacted with. Naturally this performs better with additional data.
  • Nitramene [Free for Tech Expert]: The formula for the chemical compound known as Nitramene, this compound has multiple purposes. A typical Nitramene bomb has a blast radius of five hundred yards, after which it creates a vacuum that causes an implosion as matter rushes to fill the void that has been created. But a grenade of that size will do considerably less damage. On the other hand, Nitramene also emits low levels of Vita Radiation, which has a specific wavelength that has stabilizing properties.
  • Infinite Shawarma [50/-650/1000]: Upon purchasing this item, your warehouse gains access to an infinite supply of Shawarma of all kinds. Regardless of ingredient or meat, you can have access to Shawarma that’s perfectly cooked to your specifications. Have fun.
  • S.H.I.E.L.D. Membership [50/-700/1000]: By purchasing this, you get a legitimate position within the organization that is SHIELD, whether that is as a consultant or an agent or a scientist.
  • Strange Formula [100/-800/1000]: This chemical formula is the brainchild of the German scientist Dr. Eskine, and is directly responsible for the creation of Captain America. As is, this is only the formula, and you must make it yourself, but as a result it could possibly let you modify the serum for other uses. Beware its tendencies to amplify the personality traits of the user, or be prepared to find a way to fix that fact.
  • Assemble! [200/-1000/1000]: A superhero or supervillain is fine and dandy on their own… but sometimes you need a team. You may import up to eight companions, each of whom will get a free background and 200 CP to spend on perks or items.
    • Reggy: a female Danish Human
      • Operative Background: You may as well be a ghost with all the false identities and backgrounds you have prepared for yourself. No matter what identity you choose, all of them are deadly. You work with precision and dedication on whatever task you’re given. With so many identities, however, it may be difficult to decide which one is the real you. Tread Carefully.
      • Vehicular Manslaughter [Free Operative]: You’re a really good pilot, and a really good driver! It doesn’t take you long to familiarize yourself with a new vehicle, though alien vehicles may take a fair amount of trial and error to operate. Once you’re moving however, you know how to get the most out of your new toy… as well as how to utilize it against your enemies. Whether using the weapons or just running them over, a vehicle is a tool of death in your hands.
      • Way of the Widow [200]: When someone mentions ‘secret agent’, it is often you they think of, in hushed whispers for fear that you may hear them. You have mastered a myriad of different skills needed… you know how to spot a tail and likewise tail someone, you know how to stay hidden, you know how to make cover stories, the works. Whether it’s making your data trail run cold or tracking someone half-way across the planet, or even how to seduce nearly any target, you know just how to get your foot in the door and slam it on the guy behind you. You’re simply one of the best.
      • Tactical Suit [Free for All]: A standard bodysuit made of a polymer blend with ten layers of treated composite materials, allowing for state of the art protection. Default appearance of a SHIELD logo and emblem, but you may choose a different style upon acquiring this.
      • Collapsible Bow [Free Operative]: This surprisingly sturdy recurve bow is collapsible via breaks above and below the handle, as well as midway down the length of each limb. The bow also has a remote control system built into the grip designed to be used in conjunction with a special quiver that organizes and sorts specific arrows you may have placed within.
      • Thunderstick [Free Operative]: This police baton-sized weapon was designed by SHIELD in order to release a wave of sonic energy designed to quickly incapacitate an attacking force. It works by releasing an explosive device into the air, but yours can also slam the ground to trigger it if need be.
    • Zane:
      • Operative Background: You may as well be a ghost with all the false identities and backgrounds you have prepared for yourself. No matter what identity you choose, all of them are deadly. You work with precision and dedication on whatever task you’re given. With so many identities, however, it may be difficult to decide which one is the real you. Tread Carefully.

Once you’re moving however, you know how to get the most out of your new toy… as well as how to utilize it against your enemies. Whether using the weapons or just running them over, a vehicle is a tool of death in your hands.
      • Armed to Disarm [100]: When enemies don’t perceive a threat, they’re not as alert as they should be. Suckers! You’ve been taught in the ways of being friendly and polite, even if someone was point a gun at your head. You’re charismatic enough to make friends easily, and you can show a friendly personality that many people would think is harmless… until you prove them wrong.
      • Destroyer Armor Prototype Gun [100]: A product of the eponymous “Phase 2” of SHIELD, this gun retains some part of the Destroyer’s fiery core and can discharge powerful bolts of energy, producing heat, light, and concussive force in the process. When the weapon charges up, it gains a vivid orange glow emanating from between the banding plates around the barrel. It’s sufficient enough to serious wound even an Asgardian, so take that as you will.
It works by releasing an explosive device into the air, but yours can also slam the ground to trigger it if need be.
    • Velma:
      • Drop-In: You wake up in the location you have rolled, with the skills and equipment you have purchased. No one knows you are here yet, and you have no ID to prove who you are. Where you go from here is up to you.
      • Darcy Time [100]: Most people try to AVOID alien invaders or rampaging gods or whatnot. Not you! You’re cool like that, and you know just where to find cool things Whether it’s an alien invasion, or a heck of a superpowered throwdown, or some cataclysmic event going on, you have a knack for making it there. Actively seeking it out will have better results, but with this you can choose to have it work on a passive level, drawing you into the plot in some way.
      • Yaka Arrow [100]: This curious arrow is a weapon forged from Yaka metal by the Centaurians. Yaka Arrows respond to a specific range of sonic frequencies which change the material’s behavior, and the arrows themselves are able to defy gravity and move freely through the air at great speeds. These arrows are highly durable and sharp, allowing them to pierce through most targets, including the hull of a small spacecraft. I highly recommend you train your whistling skills before utilizing this thing.
      • Tactical Suit [Free]: A  standard bodysuit made of a polymer blend with ten layers of treated composite materials, allowing for state of the art protection. Default appearance of a SHIELD logo and emblem, but you may choose a different style upon acquiring this.
    • Cirno:
      • Drop-In: You wake up in the location you have rolled, with the skills and equipment you have purchased. No one knows you are here yet, and you have no ID to prove who you are. Where you go from here is up to you.
      • This Looks Important [200]: The fun thing about wandering around in great battles and chaotic conflicts? It’s hard to keep track of the MacGuffin that people may be fighting for. A blood sample, an artifact, a data file, any of these things can be tossed around or lost. You have a great ability to keep track of these things however, and can follow them despite multiple obstacles and barriers. Better yet, you also can get a decent idea of what the MacGuffin in question is useful FOR as well. Note however, that it pertains to whatever is important or being fought over at that specific battle you are participating in. you cannot use this to track the Hulk’s blood when it’s not the main focus of the battle after all. Nor will this give you the skill to use or repair what you are fighting over.
      • Tactical Suit [Free]: A  standard bodysuit made of a polymer blend with ten layers of treated composite materials, allowing for state of the art protection. Default appearance of a SHIELD logo and emblem, but you may choose a different style upon acquiring this.
    • Kendra:
      • Tac/Comm: You are a well-respected officer in the organization of SHIELD, a group dedicated to protecting the world from all manner of threats… terrestrial or otherwise. The is always someone wanting to control or destroy the world, and it’s up to you to make sure that doesn’t happen. Of course, if heroism doesn’t appeal to you, you may have an opportunity presented to you soon…
      • Smooth Operator [Free Tac/Com]: Something about your voice, when you choose it to be the case, is capable of bringing confidence and calmness to those you are talking to. Soldiers become more composed and agents feel at ease knowing you’re keeping things in check. Likewise, those who you wish to intimidate will be impressed by just how menacing you can choose to sound.
      • Data Disassembly [100]: To assist those you wish to lead, sometimes you need to get your hands dirty. You’re capable of breaking into different security systems and databases to unlock what your friends need, or hacking defenses so that they defend against the enemy instead of FOR the enemy. The more unfamiliar the data is the longer it will take naturally, but with dedication all but the greatest systems will eventually fall.
      • SHIELD SUV [100]: This SUV is far more than meets the eye, and may be equipped enough to surprise even you. Capable of shrugging off anything up to heavy explosives, comes with a built in flight system and has its own AI that is able to link with satellites to give real-time directions as well as taking control of the vehicle if need be. The windshield even has an HUD system to give status updates on vehicle or escape routes if you need it. Furthermore, it comes with a four-barreled turret with an underslung grenade launcher for the driver or passenger to strike with. As a bonus, I’ll even make sure the windows repair themselves and you can modify the vehicle easily for your purposes.
      • Tactical Suit [Free]: A  standard bodysuit made of a polymer blend with ten layers of treated composite materials, allowing for state of the art protection. Default appearance of a SHIELD logo and emblem, but you may choose a different style upon acquiring this.
      • SHIELD Membership [Free Tac/Com]: By purchasing this, you get a legitimate position within the organization that is SHIELD, whether that is as a consultant or an agent or a scientist.
      • Mouse Hole [Free Tac/Comm]: This device is a laser-cutting device capable of cutting through almost any material, and is small enough to be hand-held. Thicker material will require more time, but for cutting through locks and metal doors, this is your tool for the job.
    • Ryoga:
      • Tac/Comm: You are a well-respected officer in the organization of SHIELD, a group dedicated to protecting the world from all manner of threats… terrestrial or otherwise. Soldiers become more composed and agents feel at ease knowing you’re keeping things in check. Likewise, those who you wish to intimidate will be impressed by just how menacing you can choose to sound.
      • Tick Tock [200]: Planning and timing come naturally to you. Robbing a national bank would be as easy as taking candy from a baby, and you could even incorporate THAT into your plan. You’ve got a superb sense of timing actions and events, and you’re skilled enough in making plans that you can adapt them on the fly even in the face of completely unexpected factors. Sudden HYDRA invasion? hit the enemy and engage those infiltration countermeasures you had planned in the event a spy group attacked you. Those countermeasures failed? You’ll figure something out soon enough.

      • Super Soldier: {UPGRADE} Thanks to Dr. Erskine’s Strange Formula, Ryoga has been boosted to the ranks of the Super Soldier Elite.  How strange is it that this once utterly unstable boy has become the most stable of men, having grown up dramatically over the millennia.  He is scary buff now.
    • Yoiko:
      • Tech Expert: You’re incredibly smart and capable of understanding the greater workings of the Universe. You pick up on information and science a lot faster than most. You’re a hopeless nerd without something to protect you. A lot of issues are born from scientists and smart folk wanting to achieve a goal. Expect suspicion. • I Am Iron Man [200]: You’re not the ACTUAL Iron Man, but you could make a fairly decent knock-off. Power armors, sonic cannons, holographic interface, laser weapons, repulsor technology, you have the knowledge to build these things and more. Furthermore, you can think of different upgrades and modifications to adapt to different situations much easier than normal when presented with a problem that’s hampered your technological progress.
      • Professor of Asskicking [Free Tech Expert]: To even get into the SHIELD Academy, you have to have one PhD under your belt. You’ve managed to secure three of them, being the overachiever you are. You may select a total of three fields in science or technology to gain knowledge of. Electrical Engineer, Computer Science, Computer Engineering
      • Holotable [Free Tech Expert]: A device in the shape of a table used to create holographic models that allow the study, analysis, and reconstruction of a vast array of items, weapons, and events. Comes in any color of holograms you like and each hologram is capable of being interacted with. Naturally this performs better with additional data.
      • Tactical Suit [Free]: A  standard bodysuit made of a polymer blend with ten layers of treated composite materials, allowing for state of the art protection. Default appearance of a SHIELD logo and emblem, but you may choose a different style upon acquiring this.
      • Nitramene [Free Tech Expert]: The formula for the chemical compound known as Nitramene, this compound has multiple purposes.
    • Astraea:
      • Tac/Comm: You are a well-respected officer in the organization of SHIELD, a group dedicated to protecting the world from all manner of threats… terrestrial or otherwise. The is always someone wanting to control or destroy the world, and it’s up to you to make sure that doesn’t happen. Of course, if heroism doesn’t appeal to you, you may have an opportunity presented to you soon…
      • Make This Look Good [100]: This is an age of heroes and miracles, of marvelous wonders… what’s the point if you can’t do it with flair? Selecting this means you’re capable of coming up with code names and acronyms for just about anything. You, a project, your enemy, it’s all at the tip of your tongue. Furthermore, you can make just about any costume or emblem look GOOD just by being you, along with knowledge of how to improve or create an image that expresses exactly what you want to express. It’s all about the style, after all.
      • Grootologist [50]: Language barriers can really suck, especially when someone says the same thing over and over. Fortunately, with this you can get an idea of what people are trying to convey. It’s not perfect, but you’ll at least get an idea of what someone is trying to imply if all they say is their damn name. This becomes more effective if you have additional language comprehension abilities.
      • Infinite Shawarma [50]: Upon purchasing this item, your warehouse gains access to an infinite supply of Shawarma of all kinds. Regardless of ingredient or meat, you can have access to Shawarma that’s perfectly cooked to your specifications. Have fun.
  • Horrible Costume [+100/-900/1100]: Simply put, your outfit is atrocious. You have no sense of fashion or style and any costume you could possibly wear is horrifyingly corny. You look like you came out of a Silver Age comic book, and not in the good way either. Expect people to laugh at you for being too goofy, too edgy, or even both.
  • Catchphrase [+100/-800/1200]: You have a statement you like to say, or maybe a motto, something. Point is, you can’t stop saying it. Ever. Any time you make a badass moment or try to be clever you spoint this line like you just made it up. You’re going to get on people’s nerves quickly.
  • You Owe Rocket [+200/-600/1500]: There is a strange little racoon person out there, and he believes you owe him something. As such, he will follow you and harass you until you pay him back. Spoilers… you can’t. Expect your entire time here to be dealing with frequent interruptions and attacks from this fuzzy bounty hunter, and make no mistake he will WILL find a way to hamper you. Killing him only makes him return a week later with technology to counter that measure again.
  • Glory of a Monster [+300/-300/1700]: You start in Austria now, soldier… in 1942. War is hell, and HYDRA is everywhere, more so than they once were. They may suffer defeat, but they will continue to thrive and survive, for if you cut off one head, two more will take its place. You cannot win with brute force either. It’s going to take some serious spy-work, craftiness, and subterfuge to actually win this one. You cannot leave this world until you have completed this objective. The destruction of all HYDRA.
  • Corpse of a Hero [+300/0/2000]: After Loki attacks the SHIELD Helicarrier and kills one Phil Coulson, he is normally revived a few days later. Taking this, Coulson will permanently stay dead and there is nothing you can do to change this fact. Without him, most of SHIELD will fall apart and many events will change for the worst in this world. Are you sure you wish to inflict this kind of suffering on others, or do you feel you can somehow make up for it?
  • Ahab’s Auto-Import [X]:
    • Tac/Comm: You are a well-respected officer in the organization of SHIELD, a group dedicated to protecting the world from all manner of threats… terrestrial or otherwise. • Joy’s Auto-Import [X]:
    • Operative Background: A standard bodysuit made of a polymer blend with ten layers of treated composite materials, allowing for state of the art protection. Default appearance of a SHIELD logo and emblem, but you may choose a different style upon acquiring this.
    • Vehicular Manslaughter [Free Operative]: You’re a really good pilot, and a really good driver! It doesn’t take you long to familiarize yourself with a new vehicle, though alien vehicles may take a fair amount of trial and error. Once you’re moving however, you know how to get the most out of your new toy… as well as how to utilize it against your enemies. Whether using the weapons or just running them over, a vehicle is a tool of death in your hands.
    • Tactical Suit [Free]: A standard bodysuit made of a polymer blend with ten layers of treated composite materials, allowing for state of the art protection. Default appearance of a SHIELD logo and emblem, but you may choose a different style upon acquiring this.
    • Collapsible Bow [Free Operative]: This surprisingly sturdy recurve bow is collapsible via breaks above and below the handle, as well as midway down the length of each limb. The bow also has a remote control system built into the grip, designed to be used in conjunction with a special quiver that organizes and sorts specific arrows you may have placed in this quiver.
    • Thunderstick [Free Operative]: This police baton-sized weapon was designed by S.H.I.E.L.D. in order to release a wave of sonic energy designed to quickly incapacitate an attacking force. It works by releasing an explosive device in the air, but yours can also slam the ground to trigger it if need be.

Jump 43 - Dragon's Crown

  • Elf [Free]: A dexterous archer, fast, precise, and ultimately lethal. Born to a family of hunters, you grew up with a bow in your hand and a knife at your belt. The forest was your home, but you lived for those moments when your family would go to market to sell their wares. The market, full of its stories and strangers from far off places, is where you got your first taste of adventure. You vowed that one day you would be the one to travel and see the world. That day is today.
    • Base Stats: STR: B | CON: C | INT: B | MGR: C | DEX: A | LUC: A
  • Epic Proportions? [Free]: The Kingdom of Hydeland is big, bold and over the top. Treasure waits to be plundered from overflowing chests. Adventure is fair bursting at the seams, and adventurers are stacked as far, as far…. Look. This world has a particular aesthetic, and if you choose this option you can selectively redesign your body one time to meet that aesthetic. Completely free of charge I’ll let you enhance three physical features, the more specific you are the bigger the boost they get. Boobs, Legs, Figure.
  • Palette Swap [Free]: You ever find the perfect shirt, but it just doesn’t match your pants? Well, that’s no longer a problem! Selecting this option will allow you to recolour the outfit you’re currently wearing so that the pattern and color scheme compliment each other based off of your preferences.
  • Soundtrack [Free]: A sweeping heroic score to accompany your hero’s journey. You can control who hears this score and its volume. Soundtrack also works for the morally ambiguous and villainous.
  • Narrator! [Free]: The voice of an adventurer, familiar to those in this land, will narrate your journey. The narration will mostly just hit the high points of the journey, and won’t give a play-by-play of what’s going on. Does not come with.
  • Basic Attack [Free]: You know the basics of a melee combat. You can swing a sword, an axe or something similarly heroic and medieval without injuring yourself. If you’re so inclined you’re good with a shield. Oh, and if you’re a magic user you can channel small amounts of magic through a staff in order to bolster your attacks.
  • Rapid Fire [Free Elf]: Only Yngwie Malmsteen has faster strings than you, but you’re far more deadly. This ability will allow you to fire arrows in rapid succession with no penalty to accuracy. The number of arrows fired will increase as you practice this skill and, as with all archery, it will be physically taxing.
  • Gymkata [100/900/1000]: You’re hard to hit. Now whether that’s because you’ve got crazy gymnastic ability or just enough sense to side step an obvious attack it all wears the same. Attacks directly targeting you have a reduced chance to hit due to your physical prowess. Excessive gymkata’ing can get tiring, though, so keep that in mind.
  • Clone Strike [300/600/1000]: Accepted wisdom is to refrain from firing on the move, as mobility and stability rarely go hand in hand and stability is paramount for quality marksmanship. But you have learned that quantity has a quality all its own. Using this technique requires the shooter to be on the move, dashing, charging while crouched, or bounding across the battlefield. When the shooter chooses, this ability allows the shooter to cause his or her arrows to multiply whilst in flight. At first a single arrow will become two, but with time and practice a single arrow can become a whole flight of arrows.
  • Elemental Lore [200/400/1000]: By focusing your will into your bow, you can cause the arrows fired from it take on a variety of properties. All arrows fired from your bow while using this skill will deal spirit damage, but in addition to that spirit damage the arrows will also deal damage based off of the nearest strongest elemental effect. Arrows fired near a flame will take on the properties of that flame, arrows fired while standing in water will take on properties of water. The intensity and nature of the nearest element, depth of the body of water, intensity and type of fire, for example, will shape the effects of the fired arrow.
  • Let’s Play! [200/200/1000]: After this jump, a complete video recording of your jump will appear in your warehouse. Dubbed overtop of this video recording will be a narration by yourself explaining what you did and why, along with some random commentary about nothing in particular that some people will likely find annoying. If you choose, this option can apply to any past or future jumps as well.
  • Extract [100/100/1000]: Low-level magical attacks generate more mana than they cost, provided the attacks are against animate enemies and are successful.
  • Fire Thrower [200/-100/1000]: A well made, artisanal even, hand carried flamethrower. The weapon is roughly two feet in length with a wooden pistol grip, two tanks full of flammable liquid of unknown origin, and an attractive barrel fashioned after the fantastical animal of your choice. The weapon carries enough fuel for several medium-length combat engagements, after which the fuel will need approximately one full day to replenish.
  • JS Vita [300/-400/1000]: This device, larger than a video game controller but smaller than a full sized tablet, is obviously next gen tech. Way next gen. The device has two analogue sticks and crosspads, and a handful of buttons, but a smooth, glassy screen takes up the majority of the real estate on the device. When powered on, the device hums for a moment before a small cartoony girl appears on the screen and loudly proclaims the device to be a JumpStation. Manipulating the sticks at this screen will cause the girl to gesture at two columns of words that begin to scroll down the screen. One column is filled with terms including, but not limited to: puzzle, fighter, and action. The other column lists jumps you’ve visited on your chain. The Vita has a library of gamified versions of all your past jumps and, upon completing future jumps, the library will update. The virtual environment and operating system of the Vita are unhackable and any attempt to use the Vita for anything other than pure entertainment will fail and result in the immediate destruction of the Vita.
  • Guild [400/-800/1000]: You gain up to eight companions for your journey. Companions can be prior companions or they can be individuals you encounter in Hydeland. Companions selected with this option receive the origin of your choice, all free perks from the Common Skills section, and 300CP to spend on skills. Companions receive origin related discounts, but cannot purchase items or take drawbacks.
    • AJ
      • Base Stats: STR: S | CON: A | INT: D | MGR: C | DEX: B | LUC: B
      • Fighter: A heavily armored warrior, skilled at surviving against impossible odds. You awaken in your new body with no additional memories of this world, in the Dragon’s Haven Inn.
      • Vitality Boost [Free]: You are a hale and hearty SOB. In addition to just being a paragon of health, and shrugging off the effects of most poisons, toxins, and intoxicants, your vitality is the stuff of legends. Your vitality is significantly increased and you receive a noticeable increase in your endurance.
      • Tempest Edge [300]: There are times when precision is what is called for, times when a perfect stroke of the blade will end a fight with surgical precision. This technique is not for those times. By using this technique you will unleash a series of powerful fast slashes with your melee weapon of choice. Your slashes will have such power that they create vortices that both carry on for some time after your last swing, and that attack all nearby opponents.
    • Yoiko
      • Base Stats: STR: A | CON: C | INT: C | MGR: C | DEX: B | LUC: A
      • Amazon: A lightly armored warrior who relies on her speed, strength and luck to carry the day. You were raised in a reclusive Amazon village and trained all you life in the ways of war and combat. Only recently have you been acknowledged as a mature warrior, martially adept and fully capable of representing your proud culture. You leave your village in pursuit of adventure.
      • Air [Free]: You are a master of aerial close-quarters combat. Leaping attacks against your enemy are devastating, and any martial techniques that you can use on the ground can now be used mid-air. With practice you can learn to alter your direction mid-jump, and combine your known martial arts and combat techniques with air to ground slams.
      • Shockwave [100]: Your training with simple kinetic weapons has taught you how to make your strikes hit harder. When you choose you can imbue your strikes with additional kinetic force, dealing more damage and creating a kinetic shockwave that has a chance to stagger or knock down enemies adjacent to the strike.
      • Crit Champ [200]: Your attacks will have a much higher than average chance of dealing maximum damage. This ability will not make you more likely to hit, but if you hit your attack will do more damage than it would otherwise. If an item has a limited chance of creating a particular effect, if that effect works to your advantage you will have an increased chance of that effect happening.
    • Ryoga
      • Base Stats: STR: S | CON: S | INT: E | MGR: D | DEX: C | LUC: B
      • Dwarf: A stout, powerful melee combatant who can deal and deliver massive amounts of melee damage. Yours is a once proud race slowly diminishing. The great underground kingdoms of your kin lay empty or worse, infested by evil and decay. You were raised in one of two dwarven families in a small human village. Discontent with serving as a mercenary and filled with frustration over the state of your people, you look to the open road.
      • Punch [Free]: You are a master of unarmed melee combat, not so much due to technique, you’re pretty one-dimensional truth be told, but due to raw power. Your punches hit like a ton of bricks. With enough effort and practice, you could probably punch someone through a wall.
      • Rock Skin [100]: The amount of damage you take from physical attacks has been reduced. With conscious effort, and by tensing your body, you can increase the amount of damage reduction by a significant amount. Given enough time practicing this skill smaller attacks won’t even phase you.
      • Physical Resistance [200]: Your resistance to physical attacks has increased dramatically. You aren’t impervious to physical attacks and effects, but the common attacks of lesser soldiers and creatures will slide off of you unnoticed.
    • Dyna:
      • Base Stats: STR: S | CON: S | INT: E | MGR: D | DEX: C | LUC: B

      • Grappling [150]: Your skills in the clinch are amazing. Throwing opponents around like rag dolls is child’s play for you. If you can put your hands on your opponent, you can force them to wrestle with you. You’re still limited by your own size, compared to that of your opponent, but your technique and strength allows you to dominate opponents who are either much more skilled or much stronger than you.
      • Elemental Attack [100]: With time and preparation, you can make your weapon a focus of elemental energy. A weapon so imbued will add elemental damage to its attack. Ranged weapons will create ranged elemental attacks and melee weapons will add elemental effects to their melee strikes. It takes a few moments focus to create this focus in a weapon, as it does to dispel it. Making a weapon an elemental focus requires mana, but the individual attacks do not drain mana.
      • Ammunition Opportunism [50]: You are incredibly skilled at finding and repurposing expended weapons and ammunition found on the battlefield. Arrows you pluck from corpses or sticking in the ground will be perfectly useful to you. Thrown melee weapons, axes, hammers and the like, will still be sturdy and have keen edges.
    • Velma
      • Base Stats: STR: E | CON: D | INT: A | MGR: S | DEX: B | LUC: A
      • Sorceress: A skilled magic user talented in controlling the battlefield and supporting her allies and minions. Magic and manipulation have been your life’s blood for as long as you can remember. Though born into luxury, the child of a lord’s mistress, it was impressed on you early on that you would have to find your own way. Too bad you learned this lesson after you learned a taste for fine things. Now you seek your fortune, willing to endure a few adventures for the sake of a lifetime of luxury.
      • Create Food [Free]: By drawing on the raw energies of the universe, you can create food from nothing. Your first few attempts at this will create enough fruit to satisfy one person for one meal. As you use this ability, though, you will learn how to create more food, and greater varieties of food, per each casting of this spell. The food you create, while perfectly nutritious, will be all together ordinary. Attempting to create magical food or food with fantastical properties will result in shitty tasting versions of your intended food. And it’ll have none of the magical properties you were going for. And it’ll be full of empty calories.
      • Cheating Ass Magic Users [100]: You don’t play fair, but you’ve got to decide just how it is that you cheat. As a magic user you have one of two ways of evading attacks specifically aimed at you. This selection either gives you the ability to fly and hover, or the ability teleport rapidly over a short distance. Both of these abilities will drain mana based off of how long you use them. (Tport)
      • Animate Skeleton [150]: This spell requires the bones of a formerly living being to act as its focus. Once a skeleton has been used for this spell, it cannot be used for subsequent castings. If the caster targets a skeleton with this spell, the caster can animate that skeleton for up to 24 hours. A novice caster can only control one skeleton, but a caster versed with this spell can maintain up to four skeletons at once. Skeletons raised in this manner will have comparable physical durability and combat ability of the caster. Skeletons will respond to simple commands, attack, defend, follow, stay, guard, target, do not target, only. Summoned skeletons are undead and will respond as such to magic and effects that are undead specific.
      • Concentrate [50]: By quieting your mind and drawing your focus inward, you can dramatically increase the rate at which you recharge your mana. Instead of waiting minutes for your mana to recharge, you’ll wait seconds. However, in order to use this ability you must completely focus on the task of mana regeneration. Slow walking is possible, but fighting, casting, planning, and talking are not.
    • Zane
      • Base Stats: STR: D | CON: C | INT: S | MGR: A | DEX: B | LUC: D
      • Wizard: A master of destructive magic. Born to a former mage of the Hydeland Tower, you grew up with stories of the glory of magic and the tragedy of the fall of the tower. You knew that one day it would be your destiny to visit that place your parent spoke of so freely and frequently, but your skill in magic would need to grow before making so dangerous a journey.
      • Extract [Free]: Low-level magical attacks generate more mana than they cost, provided the attacks are against animate enemies and are successful.
      • Magic Resistance [200]: Magical attacks that deal direct damage will deal dramatically reduced damage. Attacks that do not deal direct damage will have a smaller chance to succeed and if successful will have a reduced effect. This resistance applies to area effect spells. This resistance does not extend to any gear you are wearing or magical barriers.
• Extract [Free]: Low-level magical attacks generate more mana than they cost, provided the attacks are against animate enemies and are successful.
      • Meteor Swarm [300]: This spell, which is totally not called METEO, but could be called METEO, summons down a torrent of meteors into a not insubstantially sized target area. All enemies inside the target area will suffer significant damage, and those enemies inside the target area afterward will suffer from fire and radiation damage. Works underground and indoors, much to the horror of innkeepers everywhere. This spell is not instantaneous and has a casting time that starts at a minute. As with other abilities, practice will increase the damage and area of effect of this spell, although the casting time cannot be decreased.

      • Extract [Free]: Low-level magical attacks generate more mana than they cost, provided the attacks are against animate enemies and are successful.
      • Golem [150]: Provided an adequate amount of wood, you can create a golem to fight at your behest. The golem will scale in durability and combat power based on how often you use this ability. Its maximum durability and combat power will never exceed yours, but with time individually summoned golems may have unique combat abilities and random enhancements. This ability allows for the control and summoning of one golem at a time. Golems will remain active until dismissed or destroyed, however no golem can remain active for more than 24 hours. Golems will respond to simple commands, attack, defend, follow, stay, guard, target, do not target, only.
      • Slow [100]: You can create a sphere in which enemy action is slowed. The area of this effect will grow with use and practice, as will the amount of slowdown enemies suffer.
  • Fantasy Kitchen Sink [+0]: There is a great deal that is implied in Hydeland… with this drawback you make it explicit. Not like that, perv. No, by selecting this perk you ensure that any and all fantastical races, monsters, creatures and mythological tropes that might seem like they’d be in Hydeland are actually in Hydeland.
  • Restless [+100/-700/1100]: You’re fidgety. You bounce, you sway, you twirly, you twiddle, you do every damn thing except stand still. For the duration of your visit to Hydeland you cannot remain still, either awake or asleep. In addition to being incredibly annoying, this constant motion will ensure that you are never fully rested.
  • Barturbate [+100/-600/1200]: You love to barter; you could do it until you go blind. Unfortunately, you’re horrible at it. For the duration of this jump, you will never be able to pay the listed price for a product or receive the listed pay for a job. You will always feel the need to barter for a better deal, and you will always come out on the losing end of that new deal. Though you will always feel like you’re getting the better end of each new deal. This drawback will never threaten your life, but don’t expect big payouts while you’re here.
  • Bonus Dungeon – Labyrinth of Chaos [+600/0/1800]:  The Labyrinth of Chaos is the stuff of legends. A dungeon of infinite depth where the inhabitants grow stronger the farther down you go. Ordinarily this place is only fully accessible after you’ve defeated all three Ancient Dragons. Your arrival in Hydeland has changed that. Sensing the approach of something powerful and otherworldly, the forces of darkness and chaos in the land have fortified the Labyrinth of Chaos. Now in order to reclaim the Dragon’s Crown and free the goddesses Althena, Jula, and Vernas you’re going to have to search through a dungeon of infinite depth whose inhabitants grow increasingly powerful the deeper you descend. By taking this option, your jump will not end until you reclaim the Crown and free the goddesses. The longer you take doing this, the deeper the Crown and the Dragons will go into the Labyrinth. The nature of the Labyrinth is such that while your power may plateau at some point, the enemies within the dungeon will continue to grow more powerful. Put more simply: the longer you take in this task, the more likely you are to fail.

    • Elf: A dexterous archer, fast, precise, and ultimately lethal.
    • Rapid Fire: Only Yngwie Malmsteen has faster strings than you, but you’re far more deadly. This ability will allow you to fire arrows in rapid succession with no penalty to accuracy. The number of arrows fired will increase as you practice this skill and, as with all archery, it will be physically taxing.

AAA - Cute & Slutty Girl

  • ACE [100/900/1000]: Your family has a proud military tradition, your father fought as an officer in the Great War while your mother served as his adjutant.  With the invention of the Striker, they repealed the age restriction on witches to join the Air Force. You were the first down at the recruitment office the next day.  You like to fly fast, push your Striker and your body to its limits and have a competitive spirit.  You are the tip of the spear in almost all sorties.
  • Familiar [Free]: Alegra, a white Red Fox
  • Defensive Sign “Directional Shield” [Free]: All Strike Witches are trained to produce a 2 dimensional circle of energy a short distance directly in front of them which can deflect light attacks.  You cannot fire a weapon through a shield.
  • Perception Sign “Precognition” [200/700/1000]: Strike Witch magic has shifted your consciousness slightly out of phase with time and you now have the rare gift of being able to see 3 seconds into the future while in combat.  It might not sound like much, but it’s enough to be able to dodge almost all but the most overwhelming attacks.
  • Offensive Sign “Light Heat Attack” [300/400/1000]: With your fast paced lifestyle, you’ve run into your fair share of poles.  You know the pain of a light impact, and you shudder to think what would happen if you hit a wall flying a Striker.  Because of this, your shield is far more powerful.  Though it’s not any bigger, almost anything coming into contact with it is vaporized.  You no longer fear midair collisions and now fly straight through all but the densest material.
  • Technomage [200/200/1000]: Strike Witches generally rely on service crews to tune and repair their striker, but not you.  You’ll be able to do the job much better and be able to modify your Strike to aid you focus your speed, defense, or attack if you have offensive magical abilities.  If you have technology from other jumps you’ll be able to incorporate them into your striker and, with enough time, make one from scratch.
  • Perception Sign “Flawless Awareness” [400/-200/1000]: Now that witches are being thrust into the front of war, Officer Colleges around the world have been working on using magic to improve a commander’s ability to to observe the battlefield.  Flawless Awareness gives a Strike Witch a spherical field of innate situational awareness 1 km in diameter based off of line of sight.  Cloud cover and physical obstructions will hinder this ability, but you’ll innately know the position of every visible enemy and ally within a 1 km radius of you if you should take this perk.
  • Restoration Sign “Top Gun Conditioning” [200/-400/1000]: All Strike Witches build up some level of tolerance to G forces, but yours is high, possibly the highest, allowing you to pull off some of the craziest aerial stunts with ease.  With the use of magic you can increase this passive resistance 10 fold, though it will quickly deplete your mana if you push your limits.  You shouldn’t notice any depreciation during your maneuvers.
  • Striker Artificer Tool Kit [100/-500/1000]: Professional Quality Toolkit for sale. Never used. All the tools you need to make a Striker. Act Quick, Limited Stock. O’Malley’s Toolmart.
  • Callsign [Free]: Attention all military personnel, due to the recent alliances several documents of low importance have gone missing. It is important that you announce your callsign to your direct superior as soon as possible. All your comrades will know you by it, and (if you don’t tell us) one will simply be assigned to you during your next Sortie. “Mistral”
  • Bomber Jacket [Free]: Discount Army Surplus, offering customised bomber jacket for free to any and all of our STRIKE WITCH HEROES. Call through and give your Regiment, Callsign, and Address and we’ll mail out in a day with Regiment patch and Callsign embodied. Go get ’em girls!
  • No Pants Allowed [+100/-400/1100]: Maybe you think pants reduce your flexibility, maybe you like the look of your thighs, or maybe you’re just a pervert. It doesn’t matter, you’ll only ever wear pants if the temperature is below freezing and wear shirts that are always guaranteed to give anyone a good look at your panties.
  • Forbidden Love [+100/-300/1200]: Girls can’t love girls! But that’s not going to stop you. Unless the situation is serious, you’ll ogle all of your fellow airmen at every opportunity, often drooling. Witches also have a tendency to go skyclad, so you risk an aneurysm. May lead to disciplinary measures if it becomes an issue, though the girls in your squadron are fairly tolerant when it comes to groping and light petting.
  • Rival [+100/-200/1300]: There is always that one girl who seems to hate your guts. You have no idea what you did to deserve it, but no matter how many times you offer your hand in friendship she always slaps it away. Anything you’re good at, she goes out of her way to be better at and takes it from you.
  • Discipline [+200/0/1500]: For some reason you can’t fathom, your commanding officer has it in for you. If you simply have to be standing next to some kind of incident or prank she will blame you and have you perform some endurance punishment. On the plus side, your upper body strength will probably go up. If she discovers the truth, she’ll apologize, but she’ll never learn to trust you. Actual offenses have the potential for legislative punishment, and it will invariably be severe.

      • Francesca Lucchini, a witch of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, originating from Romagna and affiliated with the Romagna Air Force and her original unit was the Romagna’s Sovrana Aeronautica Romagniana 4th Air Unit. She is often referred to by her surname (Lucchini), or by the alias of ‘Gattino’ (Kitty in italian) or ‘Franca’. Her callsign is ‘Gattina Nera’ (Black Kitty in Italian). Her familiar is the Black panther. Some characters confuse it with a black cat (Shirley, for example).
        • Callsign ‘Gattina Nera’

        • Restoration Sign “Genki”: Witch Doctors have traditionally been called upon to operate for long hours without rest, go to sleep, then do it all over again, especially during times of plague and war. Their mana pools are naturally larger than most other Witches and while they’re awake they operate at 110% until they run out of energy which is normally a full 16 hours, at which point they are dead to the world for 8 hours. The also can eat a ridiculous amount without putting on weight. With this perk, it will often be joked that you should lay off the sugar. If there is an emergency, you will alert until it is passed, but you will have to make up the sleep loss eventually.
        • Defensive Sign “Formation Aegis”: All Strike Witches can cast a Shield, but some Witch Doctors can do something special. With concentration they can create a massive barrier, big enough to protect an entire squadron from a directional attack if they’re flying in close enough formation and powerful enough to defend against all but the most powerful attacks. While you’ll be able to easily protect your formation from light attacks, more powerful attacks make it difficult to maintain the barrier. Willing witches can help you maintain it.
  • Companion Report: Any companions you bring in with you are given the freebies and a strike of the same Generation as you. They can be outfitted with a different type of Striker however. You can also give them weapons to their maximum carrying capacity. You cannot exploit this, and any weapons assigned to your companions that you haven’t bought for yourself cannot be used by you. You can import the maximum amount of companions Jumpchain allows for. They default to female unless you’ve paid to be male. They will change back at the end of the jump.

AAA - Cat Lady

  • Drop-In [Free]: You wake up in your chosen location with whatever you happened to have on you during the end of your last jump. No memories or loyalties to help out or get in the way.
  • Human [Free]: The most populous race, humans are exactly as you remember them from your earth. Very capable with science and technology, humans do their best to run the world, and most everyone else is content to let them, for the time being. When confronted with things they don’t understand, they tend to panic.
  • Tech-Adapting [Free for Human]: By spending a few moments examining a machine, you can figure out how its most basic functions work. Driving vehicles you’ve never encountered and operating strange computers is never outside your ability. Longer times spent studying a device increases your understanding, obviously.
  • Pragmatism [100/900/1000]: You have an accurate idea of when someone will be useful in the future, as well as when it’s time to cut your losses. Know when to hold ’em, when to fold ’em, and when to run. You’ll also never show more of your hand than necessary for a plot to succeed.
  • Suspicions [300/600/1000]: You know when someone is lying to you or being manipulative. Even if it’s your most trusted friend or partner, you’ll recognize the tell-tale signs that someone isn’t being forthright with you. Works even if that creature isn’t human or sentient.
  • Machinist [100/500/1000]: You are an expert mechanic. You can rebuild and improve a helicopter in 12 hours or create a functional motorcycle from spare parts. If honed, this ability will let you make nearly anything from incredibly advanced robots to nanite swarms in only a few months time.
  • Companion Import x4 [800/-300/1000]: Bring in up to sixteen of your companions and give them a race, an origin from this Jump, and 800 CP to spend in this jump. The companions receive discounts appropriate to their origin and race.
    • Zane: Male Big Business Human
      • Big Business [X]: You’ve made your way in this world through hard work and a cunning mind. Big dreams and a copy of “The Prince” book-on-tape are all you need to wrap the world around your finger. “Pay a man enough and he’ll walk barefoot through hell”, right Jumper?
      • Human [X]: The most populous race, humans are exactly as you remember them from your earth. Very capable with science and technology, humans do their best to run the world, and most everyone else is content to let them, for the time being. When confronted with things they don’t understand, they tend to panic.
      • Pragmatism [Free]: You have an accurate idea of when someone will be useful in the future, as well as when it’s time to cut your losses. Know when to hold ’em, when to fold ’em, and when to run. You’ll also never show more of your hand than necessary for a plot to succeed.
      • Machinist [100]: You are an expert mechanic. You can rebuild and improve a helicopter in 12 hours or create a functional motorcycle from spare parts. If honed, this ability will let you make nearly anything from incredibly advanced robots to nanite swarms in only a few months time.
      • Xanatos Gambit [300]: You are a master of plans. Dovetailing, back-up plans, and even a bit of off the cuff villainy are as natural to you as breathing. You have plans within plans within plans and no matter what happens, you always seem to come out ahead.
      • Phoenix Gate [300]: A medal about the size of a human hand. When the correct incantation is recited aloud, it will form a bubble about 3 yards across and take anyone inside to any point in time and space the incanter wants to go. Can only create stable time loops, and since you arrived in a version of that reality unchanged by your actions, you can’t actually change anything from before you arrived.
      • Personal Assistant [100]: Stone-faced and serious, your loyal assistant is there whenever you need him or her. Need to organize a meeting with a clan of monsters? Assistant can handle it. Need to practice your Kung Fu? Assistant can handle it. Need someone to test your latest immortality potion on? Assistant can handle it. May or may not secretly be a member of the Third Race. “Sabrina”
      • Loadsamoney x2 [Free]: $400k US or the local equivalent. You could probably use this to survive for a couple years. Or you could get a job.
      • Tech Adapting [Free]: By spending a few moments examining a machine, you can figure out how its most basic functions work. Driving vehicles you’ve never encountered and operating strange computers is never outside your ability. Longer times spent studying a device increases your understanding, obviously.
    • AJ: Male Gargoyle Warrior
      • Gargoyle [X]: Winged humanoids of great strength and durability, they are fiercely loyal to their clan and allies. Naturally territorial, they watch over their territory during the night, dealing with invaders and criminals alike. Gargoyles come in a wide variety of forms, mostly resembling demons and occasionally animals, though they loathe the comparisons. Gargoyles turn to stone during the day, rendering them vulnerable to malicious humans, but healing them of most injuries and poisons. They don’t age while sleeping.
      • Warrior [X]: You’ve spent your whole life fighting one thing or another. Whether it was hunting Gargoyles, fighting Vikings, or even just training for anything, your a skilled and able-bodied soldier ready to protect your life or end someone else’s.
      • One Man Army [150]: You excel when facing multiple opponents. Whether it’s 5 Gargoyles or an army of Quarrymen, you can handle as many people as the world wants to throw at you. You’ll never be too distracted to dodge a blow from behind and you’ll notice when someone disappears during combat. Basically, fending off a small room of people is only slightly harder than facing an individual.
      • Teamwork [150]: When working with your teammates things just seem to go exactly right. You’re both in exactly the right place to pull off your team attacks or distract while the other person goes for the purse. Tricking opponents, getting out of the way of big attacks, and surprising your enemies is almost too easy. You don’t even have to arrange it beforehand.
      • Weaponmaster [100]: You’re proficient in the use of most common and many uncommon weapons. Using a sword, spear, gun, flamethrower, or even tentacles you’ve somehow sprouted to defeat your foes are well within your grasp. Don’t expect miracles, however.
      • Warrior’s Instincts [Free]: Whether it’s through years of experience or just a gut feeling, you can tell when you’re being led-on by your enemies. You’ll never again have to worry about overextending your reach and accidentally getting caught with your pants down. Now that will only happen on purpose.
      • Viking Sword [Free]: A sword recovered from an ancient battlefield. It’s still sharp.
      • Durable [Free]: Catch a sword with your hands, take a laser to the gut, whatever your masochistic heart desires. Your skin is now tough as good hard leather armor, with the feel of suede.
      • Gargoyle Strength [150]: Most Gargoyles are already strong, but you’re a cut above the rest. Bend steel bars and crush solid stone in your hands, if you strain yourself you can even throw a car a few yards.
      • Advanced Gliding [200]: Your gliding skills make eagles look like penguins. You can detect every updraft and downdraft as second nature, and your aerial acrobatics are amongst the most impressive of your kind. Frankly, you may as well be flying. Even if you’re in a form that doesn’t have wings, anytime you find yourself piloting a flying machine, it seemingly defies physics.
      • Well Read [50]: You have an extensive knowledge of literature and philosophy, especially the works of Shakespeare. Sartre, Nietzsche, Dostoyevsky are all as easy to recall as what you had for lunch today. Why is this a perk? Just trust me.
    • Ziggy: Gargbeast Warrior
      • Gargbeast [X]: A dog! Sure, it has leathery skin that’s as tough as chain mail and looks like a dragon banged a bulldog, but otherwise it’s just like a regular dog.
Tricking opponents, getting out of the way of big attacks, and surprising your enemies is almost too easy. You don’t even have to arrange it beforehand.
      • Unstoppable Guardian [200]: When something you care about is threatened, nothing can stand in your way. You gain a major boost in willpower when your eyes start to glow. You can easily intimidate most regular human or animal opponents.
      • Warrior’s Instincts [Free]: Whether it’s through years of experience or just a gut feeling, you can tell when you’re being led-on by your enemies. You’ll never again have to worry about overextending your reach and accidentally getting caught with your pants down. Now that will only happen on purpose.
      • Rubber Viking Sword Squeaky Toy: A nigh impossibly durable squeaky toy shaped like a sword.  Tastes extra nummy and squeaks loudly when chewed on.
      • Lucky Sleeper [300]: For some reason, few will target you when you’re unawares. Maybe you’re just too darn cute. Enemies have second and third thoughts about taking you out while you’re sleeping or just doing more important things. A truly determined foe will power through it, but they’re more likely to just wait for you to wake up to try and kill you. Now you no longer have to worry about assassins while conducting open heart surgery or someone smashing you when you turn to stone.
      • Durable [Free]: Catch a sword with your hands, take a laser to the gut, whatever your masochistic heart desires. Your skin is now tough as good hard leather armor, with the feel of suede.
    • Francine: Human Super Snooper
      • Super Snooper [X]: You’re a cop, private investigator, or just highly inquisitive. Either way you have just tracked down your local gargoyle clan, and aren’t they surprised to see you. Better get to explaining yourself.
      • Human [X]: The most populous race, humans are exactly as you remember them from your earth. Very capable with science and technology, humans do their best to run the world, and most everyone else is content to let them, for the time being. When confronted with things they don’t understand, they tend to panic.
      • Mad Biologist [300]: You know how to make DNA dance like a Las Vegas Showgirl. Whether you want to clone someone, modify a living person’s biology, or some combination of the two, it’s all in your grasp now. You just need to find the right samples, the right equipment, and it all works out.
      • Pragmatism [200]: You have an accurate idea of when someone will be useful in the future, as well as when it’s time to cut your losses. Know when to hold ’em, when to fold ’em, and when to run. You’ll also never show more of your hand than necessary for a plot to succeed.
      • Tech Adapting [Free]: By spending a few moments examining a machine, you can figure out how its most basic functions work. Driving vehicles you’ve never encountered and operating strange computers is never outside your ability. Longer times spent studying a device increases your understanding, obviously.
      • Lucky Badge [Free]: Whether it’s a police badge, an old pocketwatch, or a book, it may as well be a guardian angel when you put it in your jacket pocket. Small objects like bullets, darts, or even throwing knives will usually hit this instead of you. Not 100% effective, but it happens often enough that you’ll thank your stars and garters you remembered to carry your lucky wad of receipts that day.
      • Illuminated [200]: You were on to something big, and then they approached you. They’re impressed by your skills and tenacity. The Illuminati are offering you a chance to join, if you agree to keep what you find out to yourself. You took them up on the offer and are now ranked 36 in the Illuminati. Even in later jumps, any group calling itself the Illuminati will recognize you as a member. Don’t question it.
      • Quick Thinking [100]: Things have a tendency to go wrong, so you’ve learned to think on your feet. Whenever a sudden event puts your goals or something you care about in danger, a solution just comes to you. It may not be optimal, but it will work in the short term to keep events spinning.
      • Handgun: A 9mm Glock 19. Standard for New York Police Department.
    • Petra: Gargoyle Super Snooper
      • Gargoyle [X]: Winged humanoids of great strength and durability, they are fiercely loyal to their clan and allies. Naturally territorial, they watch over their territory during the night, dealing with invaders and criminals alike. Gargoyles come in a wide variety of forms, mostly resembling demons and occasionally animals, though they loathe the comparisons. Gargoyles turn to stone during the day, rendering them vulnerable to malicious humans, but healing them of most injuries and poisons. They don’t age while sleeping.
      • Super Snooper [X]: You’re a cop, private investigator, or just highly inquisitive. Either way you have just tracked down your local gargoyle clan, and aren’t they surprised to see you. Better get to explaining yourself.
      • Gargoyle Strength [150]: Most Gargoyles are already strong, but you’re a cut above the rest. Bend steel bars and crush solid stone in your hands, if you strain yourself you can even throw a car a few yards.
      • Durable [Free]: Catch a sword with your hands, take a laser to the gut, whatever your masochistic heart desires. Your skin is now tough as good hard leather armor, with the feel of suede.

      • Quick Thinking [100]: Things have a tendency to go wrong, so you’ve learned to think on your feet. Whenever a sudden event puts your goals or something you care about in danger, a solution just comes to you. It may not be optimal, but it will work in the short term to keep events spinning.

Basically, fending off a small room of people is only slightly harder than facing an individual.
      • Tech Adapting [Free]: By spending a few moments examining a machine, you can figure out how its most basic functions work. Driving vehicles you’ve never encountered and operating strange computers is never outside your ability. Longer times spent studying a device increases your understanding, obviously.
      • Durable [100]: Catch a sword with your hands, take a laser to the gut, whatever your masochistic heart desires. Your skin is now tough as good hard leather armor, with the feel of suede.
      • Maneuverability [100]: Outmaneuver and outfly your opponent and you can get them just where you want them. You can stop on a dime or get multiple opponents to crash into each other. Good for pushing people off cliff edges as well or catching them if you do so accidentally.
  • Crash Artist [+100/-200/1100]: You can’t seem to hold onto a vehicle to save your life. Within a day of building or acquiring a car, motorcycle, helicopter, or whatever, it goes up in flames. Doesn’t apply to vehicles you’ve bought with CP.
  • Friendly Enemies [+200/0/1300]: That guy who pulled a gun on you last week joined forces with the neighbor kid that keeps sneaking into your yard. Any enemies you make will be more willing to work together to make sure you’re taken down. Even if they were at each other’s throats last week, their hatred of you can unite them.
  • Ahab’s Auto-Import [X]: a male Big Business Gargoyle
    • Gargoyle [X]: Winged humanoids of great strength and durability, they are fiercely loyal to their clan and allies. Naturally territorial, they watch over their territory during the night, dealing with invaders and criminals alike. Gargoyles come in a wide variety of forms, mostly resembling demons and occasionally animals, though they loathe the comparisons. Gargoyles turn to stone during the day, rendering them vulnerable to malicious humans, but healing them of most injuries and poisons. They don’t age while sleeping.
    • Big Business [X]: You’ve made your way in this world through hard work and a cunning mind. Big dreams and a copy of “The Prince” book-on-tape are all you need to wrap the world around your finger. “Pay a man enough and he’ll walk barefoot through hell”, right Jumper?
    • Pragmatism [Free]: You have an accurate idea of when someone will be useful in the future, as well as when it’s time to cut your losses. Know when to hold ’em, when to fold ’em, and when to run. You’ll also never show more of your hand than necessary for a plot to succeed.
    • Loadsamoney x2 [Free]: $400k US or the local equivalent. You could probably use this to survive for a couple years. Or you could get a job.
    • Durable [Free]: Catch a sword with your hands, take a laser to the gut, whatever your masochistic heart desires. Your skin is now tough as good hard leather armor, with the feel of suede.
  • Joy’s Auto-Import [X]: Big Business Human
    • Human: The most populous race, humans are exactly as you remember them from your earth. Very capable with science and technology, humans do their best to run the world, and most everyone else is content to let them, for the time being. When confronted with things they don’t understand, they tend to panic.
