Minerva ‘Mini’ McGonagall

2002-hayden-panettiere-2-400_0

  • Origin Form: Female Britannian Strike Witch
    • Origin World: Strike Witch
    • Familiar: A Black Cat named “Pyewacket”
    • Status: Genki
    • Callsign: ‘Sappho’
    • Witch Doctor Strike Witch: ??
    • Defensive Sign “Directional Shield”: All Strike Witches are trained to produce a 2 dimensional circle of energy a short distance directly in front of them which can deflect light attacks. You cannot fire a weapon through a shield.
    • Strike Unit: A Fighter Class Striker, an Ultramarine Spitfighter mk22, equipped with a 12mm M2 Heavy Machine gun, a M1919A6 Browning Machine Gun, and a Boys Anti-Armor Rifle Mk.I.
    • Restoration Sign “Genki”: Witch Doctors have traditionally been called upon to operate for long hours without rest, go to sleep, then do it all over again, especially during times of plague and war. Their mana pools are naturally larger than most other Witches and while they’re awake they operate at 110% until they run out of energy which is normally a full 16 hours, at which point they are dead to the world for 8 hours. The also can eat a ridiculous amount without putting on weight. With this perk, it will often be joked that you should lay off the sugar. If there is an emergency, you will alert until it is passed, but you will have to make up the sleep loss eventually.
    • Defensive Sign “Formation Aegis”: All Strike Witches can cast a Shield, but some Witch Doctors can do something special. With concentration they can create a massive barrier, big enough to protect an entire squadron from a directional attack if they’re flying in close enough formation and powerful enough to defend against all but the most powerful attacks. While you’ll be able to easily protect your formation from light attacks, more powerful attacks make it difficult to maintain the barrier. Willing witches can help you maintain it.
  • Gargoyles Import
    • Human: The most populous race, humans are exactly as you remember them from your earth. Very capable with science and technology, humans do their best to run the world, and most everyone else is content to let them, for the time being. When confronted with things they don’t understand, they tend to panic.
    • Drop-In: You wake up in your chosen location with whatever you happened to have on you during the end of your last jump. No memories or loyalties to help out or get in the way.
    • Fae-blooded: One of your recent ancestors was actually one of Oberon’s Children in disguise. The benefits of this include an average lifespan of around 250 years and that by using rhyming words as a focus, you can cast magical spells to handle any number of things. Your magic will never be strong enough to convert everyone in Manhattan to Gargoyles (with just this perk on it’s own), but with a few dozen years practice you can get close.
    • Cyborg: You now have robot parts installed in your body, letting you extrude metal tentacles out to 15 feet. Any piece of technology you buy can be internalized with only a visit to Xanatos Industries or a similarly advanced machine shop.
    • Clan-Sister: Through strange circumstances you’ve found yourself allied with a clan of Gargoyles. You can count on them when you need them, and they’ll have your number as well. In future jumps, this translates to increased luck in finding and working with non-humans of any sort.
    • Machinist: You are an expert mechanic. You can rebuild and improve a helicopter in 12 hours or create a functional motorcycle from spare parts. If honed, this ability will let you make nearly anything from incredibly advanced robots to nanite swarms in only a few months time.
    • Tech-Adapting: By spending a few moments examining a machine, you can figure out how it’s most basic functions work. Driving vehicles you’ve never encountered and operating strange computers is never outside your ability. Longer times spent studying a device increases your understanding, obviously.
    • Unstoppable Guardian: When something you care about is threatened, nothing can stand in your way. You gain a major boost in willpower when your eyes start to glow. You can easily intimidate most regular human or animal opponents.
  • Lewd Princess Bride Import
    • Bard Background: No memories of a life not yours… but you’ve no history and don’t know the stories of the land. You come to yourself in your location, in this charming fairy tale land. It’s up to you to make something of it, but in particular you have a flair for storytelling almost as if you’ve spent many life times over living in stories themselves!
    • Storyteller: You are a storyteller without compare. You’ve a lovely voice and the oratory flair and skill to inspire the imagination, keep your audience on the edge of their seat, or quickly and easily lull them to sleep. Editing on the fly is trivial.
    • Library: An updating collection filled with the locale’s local literary classics, fables, and children’s fiction. Includes the original Princess Bride novel and screenplay, signed by author and crew.
    • Tenfold Bag: A bag with a capacity ten times what is suggested by its size and a weight a tenth of what it should be.
    • 18x Gale Force Reading Glasses: allow you to read and comprehend text 18 times as swiftly. {Fairy Tail, Gifted from SJ’s Collection}
  • Harry Potter Import (Return)
    • Form ??: “Mini McGonagall” Gryffindor, Muggleborn Witch
    • Gryffindor: You are sorted into the noble house of Gryffindor. Minerva McGonagall, a strict but fair teacher, is your head of house. Your common room is a large, comfortable one in one of the school towers. Gryffindors are known for their bravery, chivalry and strength of will. Rivalry with Slytherin will make it difficult to make friends in that house.
    • Muggle-Born: Family unlikely to be affected by turbulent wizarding world. Get to reclaim the word ‘Mudblood’. You are likely to be discriminated against, particularly by members of Slytherin House. You were raised by your parents in the muggle world. You had a happy childhood that was generally very ordinary besides the odd inexplicable things that sometimes happened around you. Moments ago there was a knock at your door and a strange individual strode into your house with a letter in hand and are now looking at you with interest. Your parents look worried.
    • Brave at Heart: Anything is possible when you’ve got the nerve and you have that in spades. You keep your cool in the heat of battle even when seriously outclassed and continue to think rationally in spite of any fear you feel.
    • Wand: Fir and dragon heartstring, nine and a half inches, stiff
    • Hogwarts Graduate: Mini excelled in Transfiguration magic and Charms.
    • Middle-Class: Your family are reasonably well off.
    • Pet Owl: an Andaman Hawk Owl (Ninox Affinis) “Pulcinella”
    • Dedicated: You find it much easier to study for a long period of time without getting bored. You can do a few hours of reading of even the driest material a day without ever losing focus and retain more information.
    • Muggle Dueling: You gain excellent fighting abilities as well as training with various weapons (both melee and firearms).
    • Wit Beyond Measure: You are a preeminent puzzler, have a naturally quick wit and grasp theoretical principles with the best of them.
    • Nullification: You can make someone’s spell fail while they are casting or temporarily remove enchantments from objects or places. You must actively and purposefully decide to do so and must be able to see the magical object or attempt at magic for it to work.
  • Tenchi Muyo! Quasi-Import
    • Form ?: ‘Yumi’, a female juvenile ‘Washuoid’ Space-Elf
  • Star Wars: KOTOR Import
    • Form ?: A Cathar Jedi Consular
      • Currently a rare species in the galaxy were almost completely wiped out by the Mandalorians 13 years ago. They are carnivorous feline humanoids with fur and retractable claws. Cathar can appear more or less lion-like depending on their race and the amount of fur they have. Cathar possess rapid healing abilities. The Cathar are one of the many races in the galaxy that are often enslaved, females especially so.
    • Jedi: You’re currently a Padawan in the Jedi Order. You’ve spent nearly your entire life with the Jedi. You have friends, a caring master, and even a rival. You start off on your chosen planet with your master.
    • Intelligence Path: The path of the Jedi Consulars and Sith Inquisitors. Your mental abilities are stronger and you have an easier time learning skills and force powers.
    • Enhanced Memory: You Gain perfect Photographic Memory and instant Mental Recall.
    • Advanced Comlink: A portable communicator about the same size and weight as a cell phone. 50 kilometer range by default, security system that prevents unauthorized use. Frequency scanner that detects other communication devices in range. Able to connect to satellites for planetwide range. Powered by a rechargeable battery.
    • Force Heal: A Force Power that rapidly accelerates the natural healing process. It can be used to mend injuries and cure diseases.
    • Force Sensitivity, Force Heal, Persuasion, Force Speed, Force Sight, Precognition / Farsight, Force Empathy, Telepathy, Telekinesis, Mind Trick, Force Stealth, Lightsaber Training, Pistol Training, Single-Bladed Lightsaber
  • Firefly Import
    • Alliance Citizen: This IS a disgusting little dust-ball, isn’t it? You’re trained and educated for the high spires of the Core, not here. You should probably leave as soon as you can. That ship looks like it’s going the right way, doesn’t it?
    • Edumacated: You have a standard Alliance education, just like every true citizen; 17 years, unless you skipped ahead, as opposed to those Rim “characters” who typically drop out after 8. You know the great poets and their works, and can name every planet and moon and their capital. Expect a treasure trove of (mostly useless) knowledge to be at your fingertips.
    • Coin: You have a nice stack of coin. Or maybe an Alliance Credit account. In any case, you’ve got the cash for low-rent room and board on your own for a year or two, or enough to keep a ship and crew in fuel and parts for a few weeks (After all, it’s a hole in space you pour money into). You might be able to pay your way out of a jam, but if the Rim knows you have money, expect to end up in MORE trouble, not less.
    • Fancy Medical Training: You are a trained doctor, top of your class at the MedAcad. You’re trained in thousands of different miraculous medical technologies, and are a top surgeon who never loses a patient. At least, so long as you’re in a properly equipped OR. You can prescribe medicine, and even have a small “emergency stock” with you that would put most backwoods clinics to shame.
    • Never Call Me That Again:  You have been trained at one of the famous Companion Houses of the Core, or possibly by a wandering Companion. You are a master of the arts of pleasure, and are also skilled at massage and a number of related pursuits. Your people skills are legendary; you’re a master of body language and psychology, and can manipulate others with a well-timed glance. There are Companions of both genders, and you may have been trained but not become a “full” Companion, if you so wish; though in that case you’ll lack the contacts and credentials full certification can provide.
    • Body Armour: Under your clothing, you have a nice set of body armor. Possibly a War relic, or a high-tech suit your parents bought you before you left for the Rim, it’ll stop bullets from most firearms. But it won’t stop them completely, expect to be tossed around and bruised. Of course, that’s far better than dead; armor like this is pretty rare, and nobody expects the guy they just shot to stand up and start shooting back.
    • Calm and Steady: You’d think you’d be panicking, not knowing where you are. But you’re not. In fact, you’re very calm. You can easily achieve a zen-like state where external distractions don’t bother you, allowing to operate at your peak potential even when in a crisis.
