Kendra Young – Buffy Native

Kendra_-_01

  • Origin Form: Afro-Caribbean Female
    • Status: Accidental Companion, Zane’s Significant Other
    • Slayer: Bane to all vampires. The slayer is called by destiny to fight creatures of the night and possesses strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes, and intuition to handle common vampires easily.  They are truly dangerous to fight. Prophetic dreams will occasionally alert me to upcoming events.
  • Avatar: The Last Airbender Quasi-Import
    • Form 2: Fire Nation Female
  • Avatar: The Legend of Korra Import
    • Fire Nation: Newly reformed after the hundred years war, the Fire Nation has lost some of its importance on the world stage, but it’s still very rich and powerful. This nation stretches across a volcanic archipelago west of the Earth Kingdoms, and it’s usually a very safe place to live.
    • Wanderer: You’re dropped into this world with no history and no new memories. People you meet will assume that you’re just a traveler, and even though you don’t gain any innate knowledge of this world, you also won’t have anything affecting your judgment.
    • Firebender: Firebending is generally a very direct art, requiring a constant source of energy from the bender, and Firebenders tend to favor direct and successive attacks to fuel it. Novices will find it has few defensive moves, though skilled Firebenders may prove otherwise. Due to the influence of the sun, they gain strength during the day.
    • Expert Fighter: You gain extensive combat training in both martial arts and weaponry.  You’re as skilled as a special forces soldier.
    • Lightning: This power allows firebenders to produce lightning by separating positive and negative energies internally before directing them up through the arm and out the fingertips.  Generating lightning requires peace of mind and control over one’s emotions, however this can be overcome if a firebender is particularly skilled. In addition to lightning generation, you’ll also be granted the ability to redirect lightning.
    • Combustion: The ability to channel chi through the forehead, often marked by an intricate third eye tattoo, superheating the surrounding air and producing a beam of explosive energy capable of immense damage, both in short and long range.  Unlike conventional firebending, which produces a flame from the body, combustion creates a powerful beam that explodes upon contact with a solid surface.
  • Civilization Quasi-Import
    • Member of the Magi Pantheon: Magi Goddess of Hunters
  • Generic Zombie Apocalypse Auto-Import
    • Doctor Background: You have a solid grasp of mundane diseases and their treatments… very useful knowledge for when the festering dead are walking the Earth. You’re also quite competent when it comes to actually healing physical injuries. Medical ethics technically require a physician to show consideration and benevolence for their patients… but you feel sometimes there just isn’t time for that in an emergency. You’re far more dedicated to the work of physically improving the body than ensuring your patients feel good about their treatment. You don’t necessarily need to have formerly worked as a general practitioner, but you have completed medical school and likely hold a position in medicine or a related field.
    • Disease Resistance: Perhaps it’s from spending too much time around sick folks in hospitals, or maybe you just live a healthy lifestyle… either way, it takes more for you to get sick than others. Even a zombie scratch might not pass on infection… just be sure to watch out for those teeth.
  • Disney Princess Import
    • Form ?: Naga
    • Sing a Little Song: {Disney} Burst into song at any time. You’ll know the words, and won’t stumble in your diction. Any song perks or magic that you take can be combined using this ability. Doesn’t give you a beautiful voice, but if you have the capacity, it will help train one.
    • Grit Your Teeth: {Disney} When it comes time to push through your problems, you push through them. Train longer, run farther, fight off that magic spell, swim through the waters of hell if you have to. You can be slowed down, but not stopped.
  • Samurai Jack Loot
    • Air Guardian Bow: A Dragonbone Bow containing the bound essence of the Water Goddess’s Guardian of Air. Slotted for 8 Matteria.
  • A Song of Ice and Fire Import
    • Form ?: ‘Karatas’, a Female Braavosi Sword Sword
    • Sworn Sword Identity: You have martial training, paying work and friends in the area. You have no land, formal education and limited wealth. You are a tried and tested warrior currently in the service of some person of influence. Your contract has expired however and while you may remain in your master’s service there is no longer a reason you must. You are a mercenary or a not entirely convincing hedge knight.
    • Heraldry and Words [FfA]: The heraldry and words of your design. They are inextricably associated with you and give the impression and feeling you’d like to get across with them (within reason). Nobles begin with a cape and standard of the finest quality displaying their arms and motto, everyone else starts with their emblem and words crudely painted on a bedsheet.
      • Words: “Beyond Sight”
      • Emblem: An upturned face (black) with silver light shining upon it from above, field of red.
    • Weapon Proficiency: You are capable with most common weapons found in this world and truly exceptional with one specific type. Alternatively you may be extremely good at needlework and other womanly pursuits.
      • Greatbow
    • Castle Forged Steel: A well made set of steel plate and chain as well as a single, finely made, steel weapon of choice. Sworn Sword’s free armour is slightly rusted and dented.
      • A finely made Steel Greatbow
    • Dirty Fighter: You have picked up a lot of tricks in tavern brawls and are very capable at fighting cleverly (dirty). This will give you a significant edge against more honourable opponents.
    • Mystery Knight: When your opponent does not know your identity and your face is fully concealed your combat prowess improves drastically, their morale is greatly reduced and fortune is more likely to swing your way in battle.
  • Scooby-Doo Import
    • Clue: A keen sixth sense for discovering evidence of a crime. This ability will lead you right to nearby hints that can provide a good idea to a solution for a mystery, but only if you interpret the information correctly.
    • Run for Your Life: When frightened or surprised, you are able to run at a significantly increased speed. Even in normal circumstances you’re still a little faster than you used to be.
  • Touhou Project Import
    • Form ?: a female Common Youkai Servant
    • Servant: You dedicated your life serving a master, who had guided you from as far back as you could remember, molding you to the person you are today. Your relationship with your superior is good, feeling more like close friends, or even loving family than merely servant and master. Though you would never admit it, perhaps a little more freedom would be nice once in awhile…
    • Common Youkai: Traditionally creatures of the night, Youkai are naturally adept in darkness. Magic comes very natural to them as well, but they must regularly feast on human flesh in order to survive. Due to their affinity with magic, some of the most powerful beings in Gensokyo are Youkai, but not before years of training and practice to shed themselves the image of a brutish creatures who revels in acts of evil. However, it isn’t unrealistic to say that even the most well respected Youkai simply hides their instinctive bloodlust from public eyes.
    • Focus Undivided: It is critical in Danmaku battles that one can evade fire just as effectively as they can return fire. This will give you keen, supernatural awareness of your body’s surroundings, and will allow you to manipulate your body to more easily let projectiles and other attacks to graze by harmlessly.
    • Tai Chi Master: You can see the auras, or Qi, hidden within every being, giving you a myriad of useful information about them, that you might not have known otherwise. Additionally, you become much more proficient in controlling your own Qi, as well as other inner energies.
    • Apparitions Stalk the Night: You are greatly empowered while in the dark, and can manipulate darkness to such degree that you can envelop yourself in an aura of darkness where light become instantly extinguished. Those deeply connected with the void can extend the range of this power to cover a wide enough area to drown all of Gensokyo in a veil of darkness without difficulty, but doing so will gradually weaken the effects the further you stretch the range this ability.
    • Roukanken & Hakurouken: These are the swords belonging to the half-spirit swordswoman, Konpaku Youmu. Roukanken is a long-bladed katana said to be made by Youkai, too long to be wielded by normal humans. It’s said that it has the power to kill ten spirits in one stroke. Hakurouken is the ancestral wakizashi of the Konpaku family, which only they are capable of using unless purchased here. It has the power to dispel the confusion of those it cuts. That is, using it on humans will cause them minor pain and discomfort, while using it on ghosts will send them to nirvana.
  • Fairy Tail Import
    • Form ?: ‘Kay, the Unshadowed’, a female Weretiger
    • Slowing Magic: A B-Class Magic that allows the user to slow down opponents that are within a certain radius of them when they cast it, simply by altering their targets’ perception of time.  However, anything not caught in the radius is completely unaffected by the spell, even if it enters the radius later while the spell is still at work.
    • Silver Key – Corvus: A Celestial Spirit Key that summons Corvus, a raven who annoys opponents by stealing their shiny things (but doesn’t hand them over to you) and taunting them in a strange accent, but can only be summoned at dawn during a prolonged conflict (anything longer than a single fight, mind you).
    • Magic Shoes: {Not CP Backed} A pair of Lacrima-powered shoes that increase your running speed to that of a cheetah.
  • Bleach Upgrade
    • Maskador Transformation: Being technically dead seems to make the process of becoming an Arrancar easier, though since she still had a living body, it was much simpler to make her into a Shinigami than it was to do likewise to Uriel. Tossing in the Quincy elements was easiest. Her Zanpakuto is an actual Scythe-bow hybrid she calls “The Wind-Scythe”.  It generates scythe-like windblades. She calls her Arrancar state ‘Loa Slayer’ and her mask looks like a Day of the Dead skull face paint.
  • Demon’s Souls Import
    • Heightened Capacity: Magic requires those that use it to be more than just dumb brutes. This is reflected in your improved intelligence and increased mana capacity. You can cast some basic spells (Flame Toss, Soul Arrow, and Water Veil) without them failing on you.
    • Faith’s Reward: When one has faith, miracles can happen. Your dedication and faith have allowed you to comprehend the blessings of God and, as such, improved their potency. Due to your dedication, your willpower has been improved and miracles cost less to use.
  • Marvel Cinema Universe Import
    • Tac/Comm: You are a well-respected officer in the organization of SHIELD, a group dedicated to protecting the world from all manner of threats… terrestrial or otherwise. The is always someone wanting to control or destroy the world, and it’s up to you to make sure that doesn’t happen. Of course, if heroism doesn’t appeal to you, you may have an opportunity presented to you soon…
    • Smooth Operator: Something about your voice, when you choose it to be the case, is capable of bringing confidence and calmness to those you are talking to. Soldiers become more composed and agents feel at ease knowing you’re keeping things in check. Likewise, those who you wish to intimidate will be impressed by just how menacing you can choose to sound.
    • Data Disassembly: To assist those you wish to lead, sometimes you need to get your hands dirty. You’re capable of breaking into different security systems and databases to unlock what your friends need, or hacking defenses so that they defend against the enemy instead of FOR the enemy. The more unfamiliar the data is the longer it will take naturally, but with dedication all but the greatest systems will eventually fall.
    • SHIELD SUV: This SUV is far more than meets the eye, and may be equipped enough to surprise even you. Capable of shrugging off anything up to heavy explosives, comes with a built in flight system and has its own AI that is able to link with satellites to give real-time directions as well as taking control of the vehicle if need be. The windshield even has an HUD system to give status updates on vehicle or escape routes if you need it. Furthermore, it comes with a four-barreled turret with an underslung grenade launcher for the driver or passenger to strike with. As a bonus, I’ll even make sure the windows repair themselves and you can modify the vehicle easily for your purposes.
    • Tactical Suit: A  standard bodysuit made of a polymer blend with ten layers of treated composite materials, allowing for state of the art protection. Default appearance of a SHIELD logo and emblem, but you may choose a different style upon acquiring this.
    • SHIELD Membership: By purchasing this, you get a legitimate position within the organization that is SHIELD, whether that is as a consultant or an agent or a scientist.
    • Mouse Hole: This device is a laser-cutting device capable of cutting through almost any material, and is small enough to be hand-held. Thicker material will require more time, but for cutting through locks and metal doors, this is your tool for the job.
  • Strike Witches Import
    • Callsign: “Hummingbird” (Xaymaca Strike Witch)
    • Familiar: A Dr. Bird named “Dr. Pointy”.
    • Bomber Jacket: Discount Army Surplus, offering customised bomber jacket for free to any and all of our STRIKE WITCH HEROES. Call through and give your Regiment, Callsign, and Address and we’ll mail out in a day with Regiment patch and Callsign embodied. Go get ’em girls!

  • Gargoyles Import
    • Human [X]: The most populous race, humans are exactly as you remember them from your earth. Very capable with science and technology, humans do their best to run the world, and most everyone else is content to let them, for the time being. When confronted with things they don’t understand, they tend to panic.
    • Drop-In [X]: You wake up in your chosen location with whatever you happened to have on you during the end of your last jump. No memories or loyalties to help out or get in the way.
    • Mutate: You’ve been modified by Anton Sevarius in some way. You gain the ability to stun people with short bursts of electricity, wings, and look like a jungle cat. Furthermore, if you’re a human you gain a discount on any skill a gargoyle would gain a discount on or get for free.
    • Advanced Gliding: Your gliding skills make eagles look like penguins. You can detect every updraft and downdraft as second nature, and your aerial acrobatics are amongst the most impressive of your kind. Frankly, you may as well be flying. Even if you’re in a form that doesn’t have wings, anytime you find yourself piloting a flying machine, it seemingly defies physics.
    • Well Read: You have an extensive knowledge of literature and philosophy, especially the works of Shakespeare. Sartre, Nietzsche, Dostoyevsky are all as easy to recall as what you had for lunch today.
    • Tech-Adapting: By spending a few moments examining a machine, you can figure out how it’s most basic functions work. Driving vehicles you’ve never encountered and operating strange computers is never outside your ability. Longer times spent studying a device increases your understanding, obviously.
    • Suspicions: You know when someone is lying to you or being manipulative. Even if it’s your most trusted friend or partner, you’ll recognize the tell-tale signs that someone isn’t being forthright with you. Works even if that creature isn’t human or sentient.
  • a
    • Mana: You gain the ability to practice magic and a pool of mana, raw magical power. Your power and efficiency will grow with practice.
    • Synchronicity: You gain the talent of synchronicity, meaning you have a tendency to show up at the right place, make it in the nick of time, or to have just the item you need. This can be enhanced with practice or with mana.
    • Funds: You gain 10,000 dollars cash in the local currency. You own a small house of condo in your starting location.
    • Mystic: When you were a child, you were possessed by a True Demon. An Exorcism forced the demon out, but it had already altered your mind, granting Mystical Sensitivity. Your Family understood the risks, and took you to various spiritual experts to train. You managed to survive since then by luck as much as skill. You lack the power of a Wizard or the knowledge of an Occultist, but instead have an innate understanding of the mystical forces and how to tip them into your favor.
    • Mental Fortitude: Mental Fortitude granted the power to resist possession and hypnotism.
    • Gateways: You know how to get around, able to find and travel paths to physically enter other worlds, such as Hell, Dream, and Faerie… and to teleport within the Real World. Teleportation requires mana.
    • Demonology: Demonology was the ability to summon and exorcise demons. The knowledge of how to draw protective circles and symbols needed for those tasks… and a copious knowledge of contract law. Requires Mana.
    • Membership: You are a member of an exclusive society dealing with the occult. The society, while occasionally helpful, might be evil.
    • Native Guide: You have a servant who exists in another plane, such as Heaven, Hell, or Faerie. The servant, while knowledgeable and powerful, is unable to leave their home plane.
    • Grimoire of True Names: A small book of lesser and greater demons including each demon’s true name. Whispering a demon’s true name to it will bind it to your service for a year and aday. The demon will be prohibited from seeking vengeance. Shouting the demon’s true name will ruin the demon. It will assuredly seek vengeance.
    • Armory: an assortment of modern and ancient weapons.
    • Magic Skull: Contains one spirit. Improves both your power and the rate at which you improve with your skills. ALso, the spirit is easily able to refer you to relevant books.
    • The Book of Eternity: On top of being the true history of the world, as written by Merlin, this book will teach you potent spells, though not as quickly as the necronomicon.
    • The Dreamstone: A mystic stone imbued with the powers of dream. You gain the power to force waking dreams on others and, if asleep or in the dreamworld, near omnipotence.
    • Demon Blood: A single dose of blood voluntarily offered by a greater demon. Drink it to be fully healed of anything, including the incurable disease. The healing process is painful. Drinking demon blood will make you tougher, permanently. Grants the disadvantage Demon Marked. If already Demon Marked, it increases the effect. Drinking several doses may turn you into a demon.
  • Tenchi Muyo! Quasi-Import
    • Form ?: ‘Kasharana’, a female Nervash (humanoid w/ vantablack skin & Endless purple vortex eyes)
  • Firefly Import
    • Browncoat: Aw, hell. Things just aren’t going your way since you lost the War. At least you’ve got your skills with a gun to fall back on, even if the Alliance won’t let you work. Well, there’s a ship going the right direction. Might as well see if you’ve got enough coin.
    • Shoot’em Politely: You’re a good shot with pretty much any small arm. You know how to operate and maintain both ballistic and energy weaponry, and can generally keep your head under fire. Of course, you may not have much of a head for tactics; after all, you lost the War.
    • Brown Coat: You have a genuine Independence War Browncoat, issued by the militia of one of the Rim planets. It may be Shadow suede, Deerskin, or some exotic leather, but some characteristics are the same; it’s comfortable, it’s tough, it keeps you safe in any weather, and it marks you out as a malcontent to any Alliance Feds who might want to hassle a “rebel.” Of course, some on the other side (not sure it’s the wrong one) might count that as a positive. Also comes with free sheet music for “Rally Round the Banner, the Banner Yellow, Black, and Green.” (Singing ability not included).
    • Friends in, Well, Places: You find you always have friends and connections all over the place, including some you’d completely forgotten about. No matter the ‘verse, you have the same connections: Alliance Citizens have connections in the government or military, Browncoats have connections with criminals or those who live in the fringes of society, Drop-Ins have allies amongst the honest businessmen and traders (yes, there are always a few) and Shepherds always end up with a friend at the local church / temple / monastery / place of worship or magic.
    • Chain of Command: You have a certain charisma about you. You just kinda become the leader in a crisis, without anyone electing you; you’re just the one who takes charge and does what needs to be done. You almost never have to prove your superiority; people just start taking your orders when the bullets start flying, even if they hate your guts. Further, if you lead a suicidal charge, expect every one of your allies to come with you (even if you’d rather they stayed safe).
    • Take a Beating: You’re pretty tough. Not superhuman, you’re just too pretty (or tough) to die. You can take a bullet and still have some fight left in you, and at the edge of your endurance you can just keep on going. Even when simultaneously dying of blood loss, hypoxia, and poison, you just might pull through if someone can get by in, oh, the next half hour. Further, you laugh even in the face of torture; there’s nothing they can do to you that you aren’t prepared to do right back, if you get the chance. As a side effect, expect to win most bar brawls you get in.
    • Some People Juggle Geese: You can reach a state of zen calm, ignoring distractions. Not the scary or painful ones, though; you’ve still got to learn about scary. You can handle all the annoying or just plain weird little things. People juggling geese? A criminal as folk hero? An alien cow? What else is new? Your tolerance of annoyance and random hilarity is high; in a normal world, you’d have a career set as a comedy straight man.
